Congratulations to Gold Heat, a finalist in the Best of IBSx Award for indoor building product.

With over 200 entries in six categories, our 18 industry and media judges considered the products’ innovation, functionality, design, and builder/consumer friendliness, added Gold Heat customized electric radiant floor heat as a finalist in the #bestofibsx and #IBS2021.

Gold Heat will find out if they have defeated #LG and #Whirlpool for the title of Best Indoor Product for 2021.  The winner will be announced Monday, February 8, and the overall “Best in Show” award will be announced Friday, February 12.

Attendees Will Cast their vote!

The “Best in Show” winner will be selected by attendees February 9-11 at the IBSx Virtual International Builders Show. Each attendee can only vote once and voting will conclude February 11 at 11:59 PM EST.

What are the judging criteria? Gold Heat customized electric radiant floor heat mats

Innovation – The product is either new (this type of product has never been offered) or has been significantly changed and would be deemed a game-changer in its product class.

Functionality – The product will be well-used by the builder in/for their business or the consumer in their daily lives.

Good Design – The product has clean lines and is intelligently attractive for its purpose.
Builder/Consumer Friendly – The product will help the builder solve a specific issue, help them add to their bottom line and/or helps solve a specific problem for the consumer/will be a product that a consumer is excited about having in their home.

How are the winners selected?
Judging is conducted by an expert panel of builders, remodelers, and other industry professionals, as well as industry media, from across the country. There are three judges assigned to each of the above categories (a total of 27 judges).

When will the winners be selected?
Judges designate finalists prior to the show and then visit all finalists in their assigned category at the show, on February 9 and 10. Judges will be designated by a special ribbon to alert the exhibitor staff when they are visiting the exhibitor’s booth to see the exhibitor’s entry.

The judges will select one winner in each of the nine categories and one of the category winners will receive the Best in Show Award for their specific product categoy.

We received over 200 entries, which resulted in extremely challenging judging decisions, but obviously, our judges were especially impressed with your product.

As a finalist, you will participate in Phase 2 judging happening over Zoom this week. During Phase 2, our three esteemed judges will have the opportunity to ask you questions about your product. Please plan to have at least one company representative present for this call. The call will last roughly 15 minutes.  Phase 2 judging for your category, Best Indoor Product, will take place on Thursday, January 28 at 3:30 PM EST. 

Category winners will be announced Monday, February 8 and the overall “Best in Show” award will be announced Friday, February 12. The “Best in Show” winner will be selected by attendees, so make plans to cast your vote February 9-11.  Each attendee can only vote once and voting will conclude February 11 at 11:59 PM EST .
