Electric Floor Warming Products Limited Warranty

If you are ever in doubt about the correct installation procedure to follow, or if the Product appears to be damaged, you must call us before proceeding with the installation or proposed repair.

This document contains the terms of a limited warranty between the manufacturer, Gold Heat, located at 5295 NE Elam Young Parkway, Suite 130, Hillsboro, Oregon 97124 (the company) and the original equipment manufacturer (the OEM).

The Company warrants its floor warming products (the Product) in accordance with the provisions in Table 1.

Product Warranty Period
Gold Heat® Custom Mats Are free from defects in materials and workmanship for two (2) years from date of purchase.
Black Gold® Mats Are free from defects in materials for one (1) year from date of purchase.
SunStat™ Thermostats Parts and materials, for one (1) year from the date of purchase.

This warranty is in force upon return of the completed warranty registration card within ninety (90) days from the date of purchase from the Company.

Motorcoach Owners: The manufacturer of your coach may transfer the warranty to the first purchaser of the coach. Warranty is not transferrable.

Home Owners: The builder of your home may transfer the warranty to the first purchaser of the house. Warranty is not transferrable.

Commercial Buildings: The builder of your establishment may transfer this warranty to the first purchaser of the building. Warranty is not transferrable.

Watercraft: The builder of your watercraft may transfer this warranty to the first purchaser of the watercraft. Warranty is not transferrable.

  

Under this Limited Warranty, Gold Heat will provide the following:

If the Product is determined by Gold Heat to be defective in materials and workmanship, and has not been damaged as the result of abuse, misapplication or modification, the Company will repair or replace the Product with a new or, as determined by the Company, an equivalent quality at the Companys option, without charge, any product proven defective in normal use.

In most applications, this product is not user-serviceable. Any attempt to repair or modify the Product without factory authorization voids that warranty.

The following are not covered by this Limited Warranty:

    1. Any incidental or consequential damage, including inconvenience, loss of time or loss of income.
    2. Any labor or materials required to repair or replace the Product or control, not authorized in writing by the Company.
    3. Any labor or materials required to remove, repair or replace flooring materials beyond those allowances enumerated in Table 2.
    4. Any freight or delivery costs related to the Product, the control, or any related flooring or electrical products.

Gold Heat issues no responsibility under this warranty for any damage to the Product caused by any trades people, visitors on the job site, or damage caused as a result of post-installation work. Gold Heat disclaims any warranty not provided herein, including any implied warranty of merchantability or implied warranty of fitness for a particular purpose.

Gold Heat further disclaims any responsibility for special, indirect, secondary, incidental, or consequential damages arising from ownership or use of the product, including inconvenience or loss of use. There are no warranties which extend beyond the face of this document. No agent or representative or Gold Heat® Gold Heat has any authority to extend or modify this warranty unless such extension or modification is made in writing by a corporate officer.

Due to differences in building and floor insulation, climate and floor coverings, Gold Heat makes no representation that the floor temperature will achieve any particular temperature or temperature rise. UL/CSA listing requirements limit the heat output of Gold Heat Custom Mats to 15 watts per square foot and as such, users may or may not be satisfied with the floor warmth that is produced.

When operated at the rated voltage, Gold Heat does warrant that all products will produce the rated output listed on the product tag. Although the Company will make practical efforts to communicate changes that impact all OEMs, the Company reserves the right, at any time, and without incurring any obligations, to revise, change, modify or discontinue any specifications, features, designs or components.

Some states do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages and some states do not allow limitations on how long implied warranties may last. Therefore, the above limitations or exclusions may not apply to you. This warranty gives you specific legal rights and you may also have other rights, which vary from state to state.

 

Terms and Conditions

Shipping Discrepancies

Incoming materials should be inventoried for completeness and for possible shipping damage. Any visual damages or shortages must be noted prior to accepting the materials. Once the receiving personnel accept the material on their dock, they have relieved the freight company of any responsibility. Any discrepancy concerning type of quantity of material shipped, must be brought to the attention of Gold Heat with (15) days of the shipping date entered on the packing slip for the order.

 

Return Policy

SunStat Thermostats

These may be returned if they are not damaged or used. There may be a restocking charge applied to items returned due to overstock or customer order error. All returned items must be in new condition. Defective products will be replaced (not credited) at no charge to the customer. If an item is shipped in error, there will be no restocking charge.

All items returned for replacement, credit, or repair must have a Returned Goods Authorization (RGA) number or they will not be accepted. Please contact our order desk at (877) 789-4328 for an RGA number. Products older than (90) ninety days are excluded from these terms and conditions and may not be returned to Gold Heat.

Custom Products may not be returned. These cannot be resold. Therefore, we cannot accept them.
